Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before placing an order at www.clayful.design. By placing an order, you acknowledge that you are at least 18 years old, you have read and accepted these terms.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

At Clayful we prefer to work under the made-to-order model which allows to avoid overproduction, reduce storage facilities, and generally be more sustainable in production. Made-to-order products are marked with ‘pre-order’ label, production of these items takes 2-6 weeks depending on the product, order size and general workload of the studio.

Also, we usually have a small amount of most popular models and color combinations ready to be shipped. These products are marked with ‘in stock’ label and can be shipped in 1-3 working days after confirming the order.

Although we strive to provide accurate and updated information on the availability of the products, unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that all items are in stock at the time you place your order. If this is the case, we will contact you via email with apologies and a proposed course of action.

Please note that if you purchase ‘pre-order’ items together with ‘in-stock’ items, all the items will be shipped together, as one parcel, after ‘pre-order’ products are ready (2-6 weeks). If you would like them to be shipped separately please place two individual orders.

PRODUCT INFO

All products from Clayful are handmade in our workshop in Vantaa. The products are made of porcelain and fired to 1290C. All the products are glazed inside with a food-safe lead-free glaze. Products that are left unglazed on the outside are wet sanded after the last firing, resulting in a silky matte surface. Although the wares are vitrified (it means that the temperature in the kiln was high enough to turn certain amount of clay component into glass, thus making the surface impervious to water), and their water absorption level is practically zero, unglazed surfaces are still more susceptible to stains than glazed ceramics. To prevent a stain from becoming persistent, keep your wares clean with frequent thorough hand- or machine- wash. We do not guarantee against stains.

Unless otherwise stated, the products are dishwasher and microwave safe. They are not ovenproof and do not tolerate rapid change in temperature (for example, going to oven straight from freezer).

Due to handmade nature of our wares, slight variations in color, shapes and sizes are possible, these variations are not considered as defects.

PRICES

All prices are displayed in euros (EUR) and do not include delivery and customs fees.

For orders to be delivered to Finland and EU prices include Finnish VAT (24%).

Please be aware that orders shipped outside EU might be subject to additional costs such as customs duties and/or country specific taxes. These costs are not collected by Clayful, they do not appear on order confirmation and must be paid by the customer/recipient (also applies to purchases of gifts or other purchases made on behalf of another recipient).

ORDERING and ORDER CONFIRMATION

Our current selection of products can be found at www.clayful.design/shop. Once you have found something you like, click on the item to see detailed description of the product, including material, size and intended use. After choosing variations and quantity, add items to your basket. If you want to see what you have in the basket, or want to proceed to checkout, click on the “shopping bag” in the top right corner of the screen. On the basket page, you can see total price of all the items in your cart, get a shipping quote to your destination, enter a coupon code, change quantity, remove an item, or empty the basket completely. When you are happy with the contents of your basket, click “proceed to checkout”. Enter your name, billing details and delivery address (if it is different from the billing address), telephone number (please fill in correctly, as it is needed for delivery) and e-mail (needed for confirming the order and for communication in case something goes wrong). Before you press “Place order” button, please read Terms and Conditions and tick the box that you agree to those. Your purchase will be registered and you will recieve a confirmation email after you complete the payment.

Kindly be aware that, on rare occasions, items labeled as ‘In stock’ may become unavailable due to offline or other platform sales. In such instances, Clayful retains the right to cancel the order. You will promptly receive a notification via email, and a full refund will be issued.

PAYMENT

Payment methods are presented at checkout.

Clayful does not have access to customer’s credit card data. All transactions are processed by Stripe according to its prevailing security policy.

SHIPPING

Order processing times for ‘in-stock’ items is 1-3 working days.

Order processing times for ‘pre-order’ items is 2-6 weeks.

Shipping costs are added at the check-out, based on the customer’s shipping address in accordance with relevant quotation updated from time to time by the shipping service providers. Clayful is not responsible for delivery times, they are the sole responsibility of the shipping service providers. Prices and indicative delivery times of the shipping service for small packages as of January 2024:

Finland (Posti): from €6.90, delivery time 1-3 working days, free shipping on orders over 150.

Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia (Posti): from 9.90, delivery time 1-5 working days, free shipping on orders over €300.

UK, Norway (UPS): from 9.90, delivery time 5-7 working days, free shipping on orders over 300.

EU (GLS, UPS, Posti): from 9.90, delivery time 5-7 working days, free shipping on orders over €300.

Switzerland (UPS): from €19.90, delivery time 5-7 working days, free shipping on orders over €300.

USA (UPS): from 24.90, delivery time 5-10 working days, free shipping on orders over 350.

Hong Kong (UPS): from 25.90, delivery time 5-10 working days, free shipping on orders over 350.

Other countries (GLS, UPS): from €34.90 delivery time 3-10 days.

The exact shipping cost for the order is calculated automatically after all desired items are placed in the cart. All parcels are sent with a tracking number. By default they are sent to the closest parcel collection point (according to shipping services’ suggestion, based on customer’s delivery address). If you wish your parcel to be delivered faster and/or to your home address please add a suitable Delivery Upgrade to your cart. Pick-up from Clayful studio or Maria 01 (Lapinlahdenkatu 16, 00180 Helsinki) is possible by appointment.

Clayful is not liable for any delays or unexpected additional expenses you may incur due to postal or customs services.

Delivery times shown above are approximate, they are based on post service providers’ estimates and do not include possible customs clearance times.

SHIPPING ACCIDENTS and CUSTOMER GUARANTEE

Great care is taken in packaging the orders. Please note however that porcelain wares are fragile, and breakages may happen. Kindly unpack our shipments carefully. If you receive an item broken or otherwise damaged in shipment, please send us an email with the detailed description and clear photos of the package, the item and closeup photos of the damage to shop@clayful.design within 7 days of the delivery. We will inspect the problem and, in case the claim is approved, arrange a replacement free of charge as soon as possible.

If the package has external damage, Clayful is not liable for any damages to the shipped items and you must report those directly to the carrier service that has handled the delivery.

DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS and WARRANTY

We inspect the quality of every piece before they leave the studio and warrant our products to be free of manufacturing defects for 6 months after the purchase. The warranty applies to manufacturing defects that are found during normal use of a product. The warranty does not cover damage or wear and tear that have directly or indirectly occurred as a result of incorrect use or inadequate maintenance. We do not guarantee against stains and discolorations. Please note that because of the handmade nature of the products, slight variations in color, texture and shape are not considered defects.

If you think you have received a defective product, please send us an email with a detailed description and photos of the problem to shop@clayful.deign We will inspect the problem and, in case the claim is approved, offer replacement or refund. Please note that Clayful’s liability for defective items is limited by the amount that has been paid by you to us for the items in question.

CANCELLATION, RETURNS and REFUNDS

You have a right to cancel your order. For “in-stock” items you can exercise this right before the order is handed over to a shipping company. For “made-to-order” items – before the start of the production. Please contact us as soon as possible to find out if your order may still be cancelled.

If you’re unsatisfied with your received products, you have the right to return them. Please contact us within 14 days of the delivery date and send the items back (at your own cost) within 21 days. Once we receive the package and inspect the products, a refund will be issued. To qualify for a refund, the products must be unused, undamaged, and contain all original parts. You’ll receive a refund for the total order amount, minus shipping costs. If you’re returning multiple items and any fail to meet these conditions, or if they’re mishandled during return shipping due to improper packaging, the corresponding amount will be deducted from your refund.

Please make sure to pack the wares well and ship via trusted shipping company as we will not refund the items that get lost on the way or arrive broken.

Please note that custom made products (products that are made or altered according to customer’s wishes) and sale items are not eligible for refund unless they have manufacturing defects as specified in DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS and WARRANTY section above, or have been damaged in the shipping.

UNCLAIMED PACKAGES

In case an order returns to Clayful as unclaimed package (for example, a package was not picked up from a post office within the parcels storage timeframe, or delivery failed due to a mistake or incomplete information in recipient’s contact details or some other reason beyond Clayful control), a refund will be made automatically. Shipping fees, both to the customer and return, will be deducted from the refund.

PRIVACY POLICY

Clayful is committed to respecting customer’s privacy. We collect and process your personal data only to extent necessary for fulfilling the purposes described in our Privacy Policy statement. Please read it carefully.

By using our online services, you agree to the collection and processing of your personal data according to our Privacy Policy.

COOKIES

Cookies may be used to enhance users browsing experience. Cookie is a small text file stored on your computer that contains information that helps the website to identify and track the visitor. You can choose what cookies to allow but be aware that our site may not work optimally without the use of certain cookies.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All elements published on this website, including but not limited to designs, images and texts, are protected by worldwide copyright and other proprietary rights. They are exclusive property of Clayful and cannot be reproduced, distributed and/or adapted without express written permission.

LANGUAGE
Customer accepts that the language of this agreement, possible communications and all related documents is English.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Clayful cannot guarantee that all items in the webshop are in stock at the time you place your order. We cannot guarantee that the content of our website at www.clayful.design is without inaccuracies, typing errors or that all information is up-to-date at all times. We reserve the right to cancel an order if it was based on the factually incorrect information on our website, for example such related to prices or product availability. If this is the case, we will contact you via email. If it is not possible to contact you, your order will be automatically cancelled.

Clayful reserves the right to make any changes to content of the website including but not limited to product specifications, prices, and Terms and Conditions without prior notice at any time.

SETTLEMENT OF DISPUTES

Any disputes concerning these Terms and Conditions that cannot be settled through negotiations shall be settled in accordance with the Finnish law.
